| Ripley is a small chocolate girl with white markings, indicating the probability of a parti recessive gene. Her mother is High Desert's Cinder Ella (aka Cindy), a charcoal blue with chocolate and parti recessive genes; this means Ripley carries the blue gene, too. Her father is High Desert's Raven, a black with several recessive color genes, as well as the parti gene. Having whelped two ice white puppies in her most recent litter, we know she carries the white gene recessively, too, as does Silverado. |

| Ripley's puppies (sired by Silverado) were whelped on 5/24/04. The puppies appeared to be ice white at birth, then we thought a touch of cream might be developing. Then we lost the beautiful little boy. We now know they WERE ice white, because the female is now as white as can be, with a lavendar nose, indicating she carries two genes each for chocolate and blue. |
